Imagine a sculptor standing before a rough stone. With every tap, scrape, and stroke, he shapes it into something beautiful. Now imagine you are that stone.
Wouldn’t the sculpting be easier—and the outcome more graceful—if you embraced the process instead of resisting it?
If you kept saying, “Ouch, that hurts!” or pleaded, “Please don’t touch that part!” you might end up with uneven edges or an imperfect corner that keeps the real beauty from emerging.
Life works the same way. Growth isn’t always gentle. It shapes us through challenges, discomfort, and lessons we may not want—but deeply need. When we trust the Sculptor, the process becomes lighter, and the final creation becomes far more beautiful.
Let’s learn to welcome the shaping. Let’s trust the Sculptor. 🙂
PS: This thought was sparked by multiple inspirations—Sheetal’s post (featuring Kim’s video), a status shared by Aravind Sir, and my son, who refuses to let me correct his brushing. He prefers biting the brush instead of actually brushing… and there’s a lesson in that too. 🙂
